Jeanine, I loved reading about the early days of your trip! One reason Chuck and I bought a smaller, older home was because we’d rather spend our money on traveling than on a big house. So I completely identify with what you and Kyle are thinking regarding downsizing after the kids all leave.
We had the privilege of visiting Bucharest, Romania in 2001. While in Braila, near the borders of Moldova and Ukraine, we stayed in a hotel on the Danube River and near the Black Sea. From as long as I can remember I had a love for Romania. It must have been a seed planted in my heart by God. All these years older, we’re still in contact with the young lady who was our interpreter. She became our spiritual daughter. There is something remarkably special about the eastern blocked countries. I would love to return one day and do a cruise on the Danube River.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It was a gift to revisit mine. 💞

Beautiful, Jeanine! How wonderful to have eyes open to see God's work and grace in various parts of the world. I enjoy "traveling" along with you.
You might think about becoming a travel blogger. In all your spare time. 😉
Seriously, though, thank you for the reminder that God loves all of His creation!
