Your words are so thought provoking. When we are at our lowest, our God is there. All we have to do is lean on Him. Love ❤️ you so much. I am so proud of the strong woman you are.
Thank you for sharing your inspirational and meaningful writing with me. One of my favorite hymns of praise that comes to mind is "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" by Charles H. Gabriel and Civilla D. Martin. The words of the first verse encourage us, "Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come, why should my heart be lonely and long for Heav'n and home, When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He: His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me; His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me. I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free. For His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me." Beautiful words and music to uplift our hearts and spirits as we trust in the Lord.
You're very welcome! I sang that hymn in church many years ago and loved the words too. Many times, people overlook the meaning of the words as they sing a song. That is why I would often read the words to them before we would sing. It helped the words, in addition to the music of the hymn, touch our hearts and spirits.
Oh, my friend, how beautifully said. Thank you for helping us try to make sense of the great suffering that is in this world. I'm thankful that you've cared enough to wrestle with this difficult question.
Thank you. Whenever we face big disasters, you see God in the helpers, the community that is built around helping others. We forget, for a moment at least, our differences and we just help. I don't want the disasters, but I want the community and the differences we put aside.
I am sorry for the loss of your beloved animal, but I love the image of community and unity that you saw in his suffering.

Thank you, sweet friend. It was a hard one to write and to feel like I had done justice to such a tough topic.

Thank you, Noelle. I and I completely agree.
Beautifully written thoughs on a difficult subject. We all needed to hear this. I especially love what your animals did for Hank.
Thank you, Zolla. Me too. It was beautiful to watch and I am thankful God allowed me to see it.
